Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate

Karen Lombardi (R)

Karen was born and raised in Woodbridge and attended both Beecher and Amity. She has pursued many interests professionally, making her well rounded and well versed in many areas. Her personal passion for animals directed her to a long career as Chief Animal Control Officer in Woodbridge. She was also a Connecticut Certified Real Estate Appraiser for many years, giving her much experience dealing with land use agency regulations and operations including the Town Plan and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals.

After some years living by the sea, Karen returned to Woodbridge in 2019, called back by her deep roots here. Her passion for animals is ever present, as evidenced by her current family of Australian Shepherds. Karen is now retired and wanting to give back to her home town. She will work diligently if elected to the Zoning Board of Appeals as an Alternate.

Dennis Santulli (D)

Since 2001 Dennis has called Woodbridge home, where he and his wife have raised their triplet daughters. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut and has remained committed to lifelong learning and
patient-centered care throughout his career. For the past 18 years of his almost 30-year career, Dennis has worked as a home care therapist throughout Woodbridge and the Valley area.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing and spending time in nature with his two Labrador Retrievers. Currently, he is experiencing the empty nest syndrome with all three girls in college and has decided it’s the perfect time to give back to the community that he loves.

Tom Kenefick (U)

Tom has called Woodbridge home for over 30 years and is very involved in our community. He has served as an elected member of the Woodbridge Board of Education and the Board of Selectmen. He has completed appointments to the Board of Finance and the Conservation Commission and now serves on the ad hoc Sustainability Committee. Tom volunteered for the Woodbridge Father’s Baseball League and the Woodbridge Soccer Association, and is a 30+ year member of the Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Association. He is also a Board member of the Woodbridge Park Association. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Sports Management from Southern Connecticut State University. He currently works in commercial auto product development for Liberty Mutual.

When not volunteering for the town, Tom cherishes spending time with his granddaughter Reghan and grandson George. An avid birder, Tom can often be found hiking the trails or on the shoreline, looking for birds. It would be his great honor to continue his service to our town as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
