Board of Selectmen

Javier Aviles

Javier moved to Woodbridge with his family in 2017 and quickly jumped into public service. He was named Deputy Registrar of Voters and later served as a Federal Election Moderator. Over the next several years, the Board of Selectmen repeatedly appointed him to various commissions to share his skills and commitment. Initially appointed as a member of the Commission on the Use of Publicly Owned Properties, he was then appointed to the Ad-Hoc Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Currently Javier serves as a member of the Woodbridge Board of Finance, overseeing the town’s budget by leveraging his 25 years of financial industry experience to get the most from our limited resources. A graduate of Louisiana State University, Javier is a Supervisory Manager at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management where he focuses on protecting clients and managing risk.

Javier and his wife Kelly are proud parents of two daughters, who both attend Beecher Road School. Kelly often says, “If Javy can get his hands on it, he can usually fix it.” If elected Javier will bring the same “fix it” problem solving skills, his financial and managerial expertise, and his deep commitment to inclusion and education to the Board of Selectmen.
