Lauren Moras (R)

Lauren grew up in Bethany and thoroughly enjoyed her time attending the Amity School System. She has lived in Woodbridge for the past 10 years with her husband, who is also an Amity graduate, and her twin boys who attend Beecher Road School. Lauren attended Colby-Sawyer College and then graduate school at the University of South Carolina where she studied Sports Medicine. She has worked as an athletic trainer in many settings including the military and orthopedic clinics. Her favorite position was working as a head athletic trainer at a high school in South Carolina.

Lauren is now a local realtor and she knows that people move to Amity’s three towns because of our schools. Lauren is passionate about high school education and sports, and her alma mater Amity in particular, and would love to help Amity maintain its level as a top-rated school system.

Joi Prud'homme (D)

Joi Prud’homme and her husband Scott are small business owners with locations serving five counties in Connecticut. They moved to Woodbridge in 2013 to raise their daughter who is now a sophomore at Amity Regional High School. Joi is very active in the community as a Stay-at-Home Mom. From 2015-2022, she was a full-time volunteer at Beecher Road School, serving as a room parent in kindergarten and in MAG and on the PTO Executive Board in various roles including WBOE PTO Representative (2017-2022) and PTO President (2020-2022). She was elected to the Woodbridge Zoning Board of Appeals (2019-2023) and was appointed to the Conservation Commission (2023-2025). Additionally, Joi is an Advanced Master Gardener, a Farm-Based Educator at Massaro Community Farm, and a 4-H Leader through the UCONN Extension where she is also the Vice President of the New Haven County Extension Resource Council.

Joi and her husband moved to Woodbridge specifically for the excellent school system, the proximity to New Haven, and the town’s small size with ample greenspace. If elected Joi will apply her deep dedication to education and volunteering for the benefit of all Amity students and the Amity community.
